REMNANTS OF JEWISH POLAND

Please join the Jewish Genealogical Society of Connecticut on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Godfrey Memorial Library, 134 Newfield Street, Middletown, CT. The program is free and open to all.

Award-winning speaker, author, teacher, and blogger Barbara Krasner presents her trip to Warsaw and her grandparents’ shtetlikh in 2008, which connected her to her roots. From the 16th century synagogue at Tykocin to Warsaw’s memorials to the Jewish ghetto, discover the Jewish heritage of Poland through this photographic journey.

Barbara Krasner has published 200 articles, four books, including Discovering Your Jewish Heritage (Heritage Quest, 2001), short stories, and poems for adults and young readers. She publishes the popular blog for writers of Jewish story, The Whole Megillah,  (http//thewholemegillah.wordpress.com). She holds an MFA in Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, an MBA in Marketing from Rutgers University, and is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Douglass College, where she majored in German. She teaches business writing and creative writing as an adjunct at William Paterson University in New Jersey.
